How to Maintain Your PPF in Hyderabad's Heat

Hyderabad's summers can be brutal, with temperatures often soaring above 40°C. While Paint Protection Film (PPF) is the best defense for your car's paint, specific care is needed to ensure it lasts its full lifespan in this climate.

1. Avoid Direct Sunlight After Application

If you've just got PPF installed at Lavaggio Detailing Studio, try to park in the shade for the first week. While high-quality TPU films are heat resistant, excessive heat during the curing process can sometimes affect the adhesive.

2. The Dust Challenge in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is dusty. Accumulated dust on PPF can act like sandpaper if wiped dry. Never dry wipe your car. Always use a wet microfiber cloth or, better yet, our Doorstep Foam Wash to safely lift dirt without scratching the film.

3. Don't Wax Often, Ceramic Coat Instead

Traditional waxes can sometimes build up along the edges of the PPF, creating unsightly white lines. A better option is a Ceramic Coating over PPF. This adds a hydrophobic layer that repels Hyderabad's dust and makes cleaning effortless.

4. Watch Out for Bird Droppings

The acids in bird droppings can etch even the best PPF if left under the hot sun. Clean it immediately with water. The heat accelerates the chemical reaction, so speed is key.
